Changes to Lesson Format and Administration Process (January 2019)

As part of our continuous bid to offer a great service, we are delighted to inform you of some exciting changes to the way our lessons will be administered from January 2019:

Continuous Lesson Format

We will be moving to a continuous lesson format. This will remove the need to complete re-enrolment forms each term. Lessons will run for 42 weeks per year, with breaks at Christmas, Easter and Summer only. Lessons will not take place on Bank Holidays. You will be provided with an annual calendar, in January, each year, which will clearly outline the dates when lessons will/will not take place.

‘Home Portal’

We are introducing Home Portal, an online portal which will act as your own personal hub to provide a more efficient interface as your child progresses through our academy. Your Home Portal will provide live updates of your child’s progress each week. When your child is ready to move to the next stage, you will be able to select your new class online. You will also be able to make payments for your swimming lessons via Home Portal.

Payment Process

We will implement a flexible approach to payment, giving parents/guardians the freedom to manage their own payment methods.

1. Cash/Cheque payment via your child’s swimming teacher on a ’14 weekly’ basis, due in January, April, and September each year. This matches our original payment timescales;

2. Online Payment via Home Portal. Parents/guardians will have the option of paying for their child’s swimming lessons in the same way you would ‘top up’ pay as you go phones. You can pay for a block of lessons in advance. You will have the option of paying for 7, 14, or 21 -week blocks at a time. Your Home Portal will send automatic payment reminders to you via e-mail. You will also have the option to pay for the 42 weeks in full;

What happens now?

You will need to complete one last re-enrolment form to set your child up on the continuous lessons format. You will need to select your first, second and third class preference, as you would do normally. We will then send enrolment confirmation and you will receive a link via e-mail to activate your Home Portal account. Once you have activated this, you will be able to make payment in one of the methods described above.
